After having spent more than 15 years as both a physician and as a physician leader in various Community Health Centers where I had the privilege of caring for and learning from people of all walks of life and many different ethnic backgrounds, I felt ready to open my own clinic. My work in a US territory of Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands taught me how important high value human connections are for our well-being in the face of chronic illnesses.  My experience as a teacher in the Peace Corps made me realize how much I enjoy teaching/mentoring and learning from others. My years as a healthcare leader have taught me how to build a strong and effective team that feels empowered and passionate in the work they do to care for our patients and each other well. My hope for Pine Springs Health is that it is a place of not only great Adolescent and Internal Medicine care but a place where in partnership with our patients and staff, we build a healthy community that nurtures us.
